FAQs
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
My fees are $180 for a 50-minute individual session (longer sessions can be requested).
For couples, families, and relationships, my fee is $290 for an 80-minute session.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Although I don't accept insurance, I am an out-of-network provider. That means that your insurance may cover part of my services. I provide you with a receipt (superbill) monthly for you to submit to your insurance. To find out how much it's covered, reach out to your insurance and inquire about the percentage covered for out-of-network psychotherapy.
Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance:
• Do I have mental/behavioral health insurance benefits?
• What are my out-of-network provider benefits for mental/behavioral health services?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• Is approval or pre-authorization required?
WHAT DO SESSIONS LOOK LIKE?
Each person, couple, or relationship will have different goals and issues they may want to address in therapy. Most times, therapy sessions start with you telling me whatever is on your mind or whatever is troubling you. I will also support you in exploring what goals you would like to achieve, so we can have a clear purpose. Through our work together, I will check in to see how our sessions are working for you and if your goals have changed. It's a truly collaborative process.
WHAT ISSUES DO PEOPLE ADDRESS IN THERAPY?
Therapy and the reasons for seeking it are very unique to each person. These are some general examples of issues people address in therapy.
Individuals may be looking for relief from anxiety, depression, or from feeling overwhelmed. Clients may want to address growing up in a dysfunctional family or dealing with generational or complex trauma. Clients may also look for support in dealing with stress, strengthening self-esteem, dealing with anger, guilt, shame, or with the aftermath of a traumatic experience. Transitions may also be an aspect a client would like to address in therapy, whether a life transition or gender transition.
Couples and relationships may need support with effective and compassionate communication, fostering more effective arguments, increasing trust and reconnection, addressing infidelity, preparing for transitions, resulting in more support and understanding.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU MEET WITH CLIENTS?
In the start of our work together, we will meet once a week either in person or through telehealth, whichever works best for you. As you begin to address your goals and would like to meet less often, I am happy to accommodate for sessions further apart. My goal here is for therapy to be relevant, for you to develop tools, become empowered on your own, and eventually "graduate" therapy.
DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?
Yes, if you need to cancel a session text, call, or email me 24 hours prior to your session time. Late cancelations will be charged as a full session.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out and I am more than happy to answer them!
